Subsidies and member benefits

Subsidies and grants
Membership of the Cathedral Landcare Group entitles you to apply for a discount on the chemicals used to control weeds on your property. Current grants as well as information about relevant local environmental issues are emailed to members as they become available and members are encouraged to apply directly to the group for assistance with planting projects.

Equipment loans

Contact Richard Evans to enquire about borrowing sprayers for both weed control and fertilising as well as a bird identification monitor.

Trouble with rabbits on your property?

If you're having problems with rabbits on your property you're not alone.

Judging by the response at the Buxton Community Hall during our “Future of Buxton” community meeting a number of residents raised concerns about rabbits and the devastation they are causing.

The Cathedral Landcare Group (CLG), have decided to use a group approach in order to reduce the increasing rabbit problem in the area. As you are no doubt aware there are a number of methods possible to accomplish this. The three main ways of doing this are warren ripping, fumigation and shooting or a combination of any of these approaches.

If you want to eradicate rabbits effectively and receive a bit of assistance with the cost then join our very own subsidised local programme, run by Cathedral Landcare Group, for controlling rabbits on your property.

Email, our Vice President, Phil Challen, for more information and to check if your property might be suitable: phil@littleriverwines.com.au
